How do I use it?
Step 1: Create Your Profile in Unique Health
Download and open the Unique Health app before your first connected measurement. Create a personal profile and enter the requested information, such as age, height, and gender. Turn on Bluetooth and complete the initial setup so the scale can associate measurements with the correct profile.
Step 2: Place the Scale on a Hard, Flat Floor
Put the scale on a firm, level surface such as tile, wood, or another hard floor. Avoid carpets, rugs, soft mats, and uneven surfaces, as the placement of the scale can affect weight readings and body composition estimates.
Step 3: Wake the Scale and Wait for “0.00”
Step on briefly to activate the scale, then step off. Wait until the display shows “0.00” before beginning the measurement. This allows the scale to complete its zero calibration and helps prevent the previous reading from being carried into the next measurement.
Step 4: Stand Barefoot and Keep Still
Remove shoes and socks before measuring. Stand with both feet positioned on the foot electrodes, keep your feet clean and dry, and maintain a steady posture. Do not move, talk, or shift your weight during the scan.
Step 5: Hold the Handle at About 45°
Lift the handle and hold it with both hands. Keep your arms slightly away from your body at approximately a 45-degree angle. This helps maintain a consistent posture and allows the hand electrodes to make proper contact.
Step 6: Maintain Full Contact with All 8 Electrodes
Make sure both hands and both feet remain in full contact with the 8 hand and foot electrodes. Hold the handle steadily and remain still until the measurement is complete. Key results can be viewed on the display, while Unique Health uses the measurement signals, profile information, and algorithms to calculate the full 57-metric report and progress history.
For More Consistent Trend Tracking
Measure at a similar time and under similar conditions whenever possible. Avoid comparing readings taken immediately after strenuous exercise, a shower, or a large meal. Hydration, posture, skin contact, and measurement timing may affect BIA-derived results.
